history
Alina Mazuri was born into the fierce and revered Himaa tribe, where twins were considered a blessing, their births seen as a mark of good fortune for the tribe. She was one of the first twins in the Mazuri family, a child of the harsh winter. With her came Kaida, her twin sister, whom Alina adored from the moment their eyes first met. They were two halves of a whole, inseparable in their infancy, though Alina always felt she was the slightly older one, born just a few minutes before her sister. The Mazuri family, known for their exceptional skills as traders, had made a name for themselves across the Steppe. Alina's father, Magnai, and her mother, Dagasi, had a reputation for the quality of their wares, and her elder siblings, Arik and Aiko, were well-regarded within the tribe. Arik would often join Magnai on long hunting and mining excursions, while Dagasi, ever the matriarch, tended to the home and cared for the younger children. Their lives, though demanding, were filled with the warmth of family and the bustling rhythm of the Steppe. It was on one of Magnai’s business trips to Othard that their lives would shatter. The family had decided to travel together, leaving the infant twins in the care of Nabe Himaa, a close family friend. But the fates were cruel. A group of Budugan hunters, eager to take Arik as one of their own, ambushed Magnai, Dagasi, and Aiko during their journey. In a desperate bid to escape, Arik fought valiantly, but his resistance proved fatal, and the boy was slain. The rest of the family met the same tragic end.Back in their camp, Nabe waited in vain for their return, growing increasingly worried as the days turned into weeks. When it became clear that something had gone terribly wrong, Nabe learned the truth. Her beloved friends had perished, and the twins were now orphans. Alone, Nabe did what she could, but the burden of caring for the children was too much for one woman to bear. Reluctantly, she sought help from a wandering trader, a vile man who promised to deliver the girls to a proper orphanage. What Nabe did not know, however, was that the trader had no intention of finding a safe home for the twins. Instead, he planned to sell them in Radz-at-Han, where the lives of orphaned children like Alina were worth little more than the price he could fetch for them. The man saw them only as a commodity, one he could use to make his fortune. Then, just before the Starlight Festivities, the fates once again shifted. A tall Miqo'te named B’zuhm, the leader of the Bear Tribe, encountered the trader in the bustling city. B’zuhm, known for his sharp eyes and keen instincts, saw the young Xaela girl—dirty, neglected, and clearly malnourished—and felt a stirring of something deep inside him. The trader, having no true concern for the child, explained that he had found her but knew nothing of her name, referring to her only as “fire dragon” due to the red glow of her limbal rings.B’zuhm, a man whose heart was often as hard as stone, could not walk away. His decision, though it was a moment of kindness he would later come to question, was immediate. He bought her from the trader and took her into his care. He named her B’lossom, drawn to the soft pink hue of her hair, which reminded him of peach blossoms in the spring. He hoped the name would help her find acceptance in his tribe, a place where she could heal, even if he himself didn’t know how to show her the love she deserved. But acceptance was not easily won in the Bear Tribe. B'lossom grew up alongside B’zuhm’s daughter, B’rellhu, who rejected her with cold disdain. From the moment B’lossom arrived, B’rellhu saw her as an intruder, someone who threatened her position in the tribe. B’zuhm, though he took in B’lossom with the intent to provide her a home, was often distant, strict, and harsh. He feared showing any favoritism, as it would cause unrest among his people. So, B’lossom found herself caught between the stone walls of the tribe, trapped between coldness and indifference. She withdrew into herself, finding solace in the outcasts—those the tribe scorned and misunderstood. In time, she altered her appearance, using tattoos, piercings, and even filing her canines to resemble the fangs of the Miqo'te. By the time she turned eighteen, the girl who had once known love and comfort had become a shadow of herself, her heart hardened by the rejection she had faced. It was then that she made the decision to leave the tribe, to seek out her own path, far away from the place she had never truly belonged. Her journey led her to the Steppe, a land she had heard of in stories, where dark-scaled dragons roamed free. There, perhaps, she could find her people, her true family. She searched for answers, and those answers eventually brought her back to the Himaa tribe, where she learned from Nabe that her true name was Alina, and that she had a twin sister—Kaida—who had been adopted by a family in Radz-at-Han. Nabe welcomed her with open arms, offering her shelter and stories of her past, but though Alina was grateful, she could not remain in the Steppe for long. The yearning to find her twin, to reunite with the sister she had lost, was too strong.Alina’s journey took her to the vibrant streets of Radz-at-Han, where she wandered the market for hours, hoping to find some clue to her sister’s whereabouts. She did not have to search long. She spotted her—a black-horned Au Ra with a pastel pink bob—and her heart skipped a beat. It was Kaida. The reunion, however, was not as sweet as she had hoped. Kaida, feeling betrayed by the years of separation, confronted her adoptive family in a fit of rage. The two sisters fled the city together, taking refuge in a dance troupe, where they began to rebuild the bond that had been severed for so long. The troupe’s leader, Kitsu Senbu, saw the pain that lingered in Alina’s eyes, and she took the girl under her wing. Kitsu became her guardian, and for the first time in Alina’s life, she felt true affection. Kitsu’s love was like the warmth of a hearth on a cold winter’s night, and it was this love that gave Alina the strength to push forward. But that peace was short-lived. The troupe was attacked, and Kitsu was killed in an ambush. Overcome with rage, Alina’s fiery red limbal rings turned black in her grief, marking the moment when her past, full of loss and abandonment, overtook her once more.Unable to cope with the pain, Alina fled, returning to the Steppe where she could lose herself once again in the shadows. It was there, among the darkness, that she crossed paths with Ajinai Kagon, a dangerous and skilled assassin. He was a man of few words, but something about her grief called to him. He took her under his wing, teaching her the art of stealth, the silent steps of the assassin, and together, they hunted those who had wronged her.For three years, Alina and Ajinai worked together, until tragedy struck once again. Ajinai was killed on a job, leaving Alina alone with nothing but the names of those who had hurt her. The list grew longer with each passing year, but she never stopped hunting. The pain of his loss added fuel to the fire that burned within her, and now, as she hunts her prey, she keeps herself hidden from the one person who still seeks her out—her sister, Kaida.Though Alina still loves her sister, she remains distant, keeping herself hidden, always a step ahead. She believes her dangerous life would only put Kaida in harm's way, and so, she stays away, a shadow of her former self, always searching, always waiting for the next battle. The tribe that once called her family is nothing more than a memory now, a place she will never return to.

ooc information
Hi! Thanks for stopping taking time to read my carrd.I am relatively new to role playing in FFXIV, but have been writing for over a decade. I am 28 years old. I utilize multiple characters for role play (more about them below).I tend to be online in game later at night, but for the most part I role-play mostly in discord just due to time, work, and life balance and restrictions. I am still open to role-playing in game if time permits, but will be easier to get in touch with on discord for the most part.As far as themes go, I am pretty open to exploration and themes. While I tend to stick to adventure and dynamic narrative role play, I am open to dark and mature role play as well. As a character, I do not seek erotic role play, nor will I participate in erotic themes with others.I am open to utilizing dice rolls in role play.I'm sure it does not have to be said, but I am not my character, and actions and feelings that my character(s) has/have should not be seen as or confused with my own actions and feelings.
